Confessions of a game stop girl

I absolutely love this article because I can completely relate to this chick.

When I used to work at Hot Topic all I would do is hang around the video game tees and help people (because out of all the stuff in the store, I could identify with the video game jokes). Usually I'd get some guy who would come in and try to start a convo with me and ask what was my favorite tee or he would be cute and ask me what I thought of that mario shirt over there (Thinking I had no fucking idea what mario was) and I'd either point out I like the zelda one more or that I was more of a sega fan as a child and strayed away from the nintendo system (unless my uncal let me barrow his or I went over my friend Kerrys house). The reaction I usually got was surprise. Here was a girl, in hot topic, that looked good, talking about video games...and trashing nintendo (sonic is the shit). It makes me sad that people think women are incapable of playing games or even being ""hadcore"" gamers themselfs.
